Compass Initiative?

HIGH SCHOOL TO SUCCESS

Compass Arrow-01.png

Graduation, what is next? What am I going to do after high school? It may seem like a long way off, but the time to start thinking about these questions is NOW, not half way through your senior year. Your goals after graduation can range from traditional college to advanced technical training, going to the military or heading directly to the workforce. No matter which you choose, you need to have a plan. Your goal may change and that's ok, but you need to have a plan.

COMPASS is a new initiative developed by Columbia County Schools to provide students and parents with the information (Success Portfolio) needed to select and implement a plan to reach their stated goal.

• Admission Requirements
• Financial Aid
• Dual Enrollment
• Advanced Placement
• Career and Technical Education (CTE) Certifications

Success Portfolios will outline the following:

• Four Year Academic Pathway
• Road Map ~ Freshman to Senior and Beyond
• Graduation Requirements
• Scholarships
• Volunteer and Extracurricular Opportunities

Columbia County Schools highly encourages all students to start the path to success today by discussing goals with their family and selecting one of the Success Portfolios. The important courses, benchmarks, and
requirements are all sequenced to lead you through your high school career.

Allow COMPASS to guide you along your roadmap to SUCCESS!
